The Delphos City School district is committed to providing all students and employees with the right to a civil educational environment, free from harassment and/or bullying.  The District recognizes that bullying creates an atmosphere of fear and intimidation and detracts from the safe environment necessary for student learning.  Therefore, we have recently begun the process of implementing a program called Connect with Kids - Bullying Prevention Program for Delphos City Schools.

This program includes Agents of Change: Bullying and Beyond.  It is a multi-media program that outlines a five-step process to create a climate of change.  This involves school teams learning to understand problems, identifying solutions, creating and using tools for change, and implementing ideas and taking action while being able to measure their success.  The program has accompanying DVDs for both students and parents along with resource guides to provide tools for change, program ideas, discussion questions, lesson plans, facts, and tip sheets.

It is our goal that by implementing this program we will enhance the “Culture of Caring” already existing in the district by using research-based resources and on-site presentations.

Sincerely,
