PUBLIC SCHOOL CHOICE:
School Improvement Year 2: Franklin Elementary School (2010-2011)
Enrollment: 438 PSC Participants: 0 SES Participants: 14
The Franklin Elementary School did not meet the federal standards of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) under guidelines approved by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) for the second consecutive year. Therefore Public School Choice (PCS) must be provided by the district to parents along with Supplemental Educational (tutoring) Services (SES) for economically disadvantaged students. At this time there are no contingent school districts willing to take open enrollment students under the ODE guidelines so PSC is not an option. SES is being provided for qualifying students, anyone interested who has not been signed up may contact the Franklin Elementary School office at 419-692-8766 or the Superintendent’s Office at 419-692-2509. (S.E.S. form available under the Administration tab at the top left)

Delphos Jefferson High School |

Message from the Principal:
I am proud to be serving another year as the Principal of Delphos Jefferson High School where we have established ourselves as an "Excellent" High School for the 3rd straight year. It is a real joy to work in a building with staff members who take a genuine concern for each student and with so many supportive parents. We face many challenges ahead as we continue to look for ways to improve our services, test scores, and to respond to the calls from our community members and legislative partners. I am confident that together we will continue our commitment to excellence. As we travel on this journey together let's keep the bright light of optimism shining through some difficult times. If you have an idea or need to discuss a concern, don't hesitate to call or send an e-mail. |

Delphos Jefferson Middle School |

Message from the Principal:
Welcome to the Jefferson Middle School. Our goal simply is to be the best, after all what else is there? The Middle School is rated as an Effective school and has met 9 of the state's 10 indicator goals measuring success. Our middle school staff serves all children. Our staff realizes that all children can learn, and that learning and achievement occurs in each child at different rates of mastery. To achieve this goal our staff and students follow a simple philosophy that we call " listen to the voice". The voice is your conscious, it is all the lessons and knowledge that your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles have taught you. When you listen to the voice you will make wise decisions. The voice has many positive messages to share. The first message is that it is always right to be polite, and to be on time, to treat others as you wish to be treated.

Message from the Principal:
Welcome to the Franklin Elementary web site. Franklin Elementary School has a "tradition of excellence" and the students, staff, and parents work hard in maintaining and building on that tradition. For the third straight year, our building has earned an "Excellent" rating or higher ("Excellent with Distinction" three years ago) on our state report card. Our goal is to maintain and build upon our "Excellent" rating. This will be accomplished by the dedication of all students, staff, parents, and community support. This collaborative effort prepares all of our students socially and in all academic areas. As we face the many challenges in today's society, it will be all the more important to work as a team for the success of our students.
I strongly believe in our school's mission statement: "Excellence Today, Success Tomorrow; One Student at a Time." Every student at Franklin Elementary will be provided with an excellent education and have the opportunity to succeed.
Welcome to Landeck Elementary where the students, teachers, and community are driven to be an excellent school. This is accomplished each year because of the hardwork, dedication, and enthusiasm that is displayed by the students and staff. It is a pleasure to be in an environment such as this. Our goal for next year is to be an excellent school again. We will do this by exploring new ways of doing things to insure that we are connecting with each and every student. We invite you to visit our unique school.
